2008-10-12 iHome is a dream machine This is my third purchase of an iHome. It is a high quality product which will fill a small room with quality stereo sound, utilizing its built in digital tuner or any of your iPods. I also use it to charge up my iPods. Its build quality is excellent, and it looks great!
2008-10-11 Nice product but quality concerns I bought this model and was happy with it overall -- good features, good sound quality, etc. However, after 6 months portions of the LCD on the clock stopped working. At this point I can tell what hour it is and that is about all. I will work with the company to see if they will repair/replace but I am disappointed that after such a short period of time I am seeing this kind of issue.
2008-10-10 Attempts to jump on iPod Bandwagon with weak product It has good sound -- which is about the only really good thing I can say about it.
The remote only provides a subset of the iPod functions, making it almost useless for any but the most rudamentary functions.
FM performance is dismal at best. The radio is easily overloaded by strong stations with the result that weak (and even moderately strong)stations) tend to be mixed with adjacent stations.
The set top controls look cool and try to duplicate those of the iPod, but are difficult to use in practice.
The manual is brief, poorly written, and generally inadequate.
This is indicative of a product that has been rushed to market with the lowest possible investment of time and money by the manufacturer in order to jump on the bandwagon provided by successful products like iPod.
2008-10-09 Don't purchase your iHome anyplace else but @ Amazon! The product came in a very protective wrap and the price is the cheapest I've seen so far. It was a birthday gift for my son and he absolutely loves it!! Thank you and I will order again!
2008-10-09 great alarm clock/ipod player I really enjoy waking up to a play list- the alarm clock has a lot of great features. The sound quality is pretty good.
