Product Description Heavy Duty Dual-Arm Wall Mount supports any Flat Screen Plasma or LCD Screen up to 165 pounds.
For larger LCD and Plasma displays, the dual arms of the Cheetah mount provide for a much more stable and level display as the arms are extended. A significant improvement over single arm designs
Approximately 140 Degrees of side-to-side motion of the wall arms
Supports 32" 37", 40", 42", 46", 50", 55" LCD and Plasma TVs
Up to 15 degrees of screen down tilt with easy to tighten screen tilt locking levers
Rock solid wall arms extends flat screens to over 16.5" away from the wall. The nested wall arms also fold inside each other when pushed flat to give the mount a very slim 3 1/2" profile
18" Wide wall plate supports block wall installation or installation on either 8", 12" or 16" wall studs.
The 1/8mm thick steel wall plate also has 2 pass through holes so that cables and cords can be fished into the wall interior for a clean installation look
Security screws underneath mount allow the screens left to right position on the mount to be secured and to prevent the flat screen from being bumped off the mount
This universal wall mount attaches to any flat screen with a mounting hole pattern up to 28" (711 mm) wide by 19"(483 mm) tall.
Includes English installation instructions and all necessary hardware for either block or wall stud installation |
Customers Reviews 2008-09-23 Dimension problems The product description states the mount is 3.5 inches from the wall. This is true for the back part of the mount but when you include the hanging brackets that mount to the TV, the total distance from the wall to the back of the TV is about 4 and 5/8 inches. This causes me a problem since I am mounting the TV inside a cabinet that is only 8 inches deep - probably won't work for me. Also, the mechanism works very hard. If I very slightly loosen the bolts on the arms, it works easier but then the mount becomes wobbly.
Also, when laying a straight edge across the back of the wall mounting plate, I discovered the plate is warped (at least 1/8 inch from edge to center).
Good concept but doesn't quite perform. | 2008-09-13 I love this wall mount!! I bought a 50" Plasma and decided it would be best on my wall. I went looking through stores and found higher prices than this one and bulkier designs.
I love the articulating arms!! I can pull it away from the wall to access the wires, etc. and adjust the left to right tilt for best viewing. It seems very sturdy and has worked great for me the last six months.
It was easy enough to mount to the wall but if you are not good with tools seek experienced assistance. You will need someone to hold it up for you unless you are good at this sort of thing. The hardest part was hanging the TV and that was only due to the weight of it.
Note: Make sure you have wall studs with 16" centers if mounting to drywall!! I bought it not realizing I had 24" centers on that one wall. This caused me to mount it to a steel plate so it could get anchored to the studs (The 50" TV weighed 125lbs!!) | 2008-08-04 Very sturdy We bought this for our son. He installed it by himself and said he was very impressed with how solid it is. It allows the tv to be adjusted in several different directions and has a roller that levels the tv. He was very happy with it and said the quality was top notch. | 2008-07-12 awesome Sits about 3inches away from wall. Avoid if you want a flush fit, but since you are looking for a mount with arms that is not an issue for you. This unit will NOT twist or bent under load. Feels strong yet wife can move the LCD without effort. |
