Great value product
Extremely intuitive and easy to use. Loaded with N. America and Europe maps, it works really well as a navigation system for driving. Haven't had any problems with it at all, and I have used the device in the US and various European countries. In really bad weather or after switching continents, it might take some time (up to a min) for the navi to find satellites, but that's a minor inconvenience.

Very good unit for use in both Europe and the States
I've owned a Nuvi 270 for about 2 years and I am very pleased with it and would recommend it to others. I've used it in about 6 different European countries and about 10 US States and find the database to be very good.
Ease of use is excellent - the unit is intuitive to use.
I've only ever experienced minor issues, rarely does it fail to pick up satellites within 30 seconds for me in about 5000 miles of use (there is an odometer on it!)

Good product
Bought this item because I was going to England for several months. This GPS comes with maps of Europe already pre-loaded. This was a huge bonus. It worked great while in England. While in London, I used the pedestrian mode quite a bit. It even told me where all the traffic cameras were in England. This was a great product at a great price!

Garmin nuvi 270
Bought just before travelling to Europe, about 6 months ago. GREAT entry level GPS. Had Europe maps on it (bought separately; Europe map can cost over $100). Worked well in Europe. With the purchase, you get one free upgrade; we choose the US Map upgrade. Smaller screen doesn't really pose much of a problem. Street names are not called out; just directions; but given the price; this is a very good alternative. I recommend this unit.
