nice sound & comfy
I am really happy with my ear buds - they work great and are very comfortable. The three sizes of covers would help them fit anyone comfortably I believe. The price was great and as usual Amazon's service was good. I'm no audiophile or anything but I'm very happy with these.

Bass was nice, falling out of ears sucks
Tried all three sizes of the interchangeable earbud sleeves, the smallest tend to work for me because they sit on the opening of my ear canal rather than hanging on loosely on the inner rimming of the antitragus like the large ones. The middle interchangeable earbud sleeves are too big for the ear canal and too small to hang on the antitragus, but hey, the bass is good. I like drum and bass or rock when I'm all revved up for cardio but the earbud with the shorter cord ends up falling out because it gets the most tug when I run. Neck-banded headphones are usually my preference but for those who wanted a review on this that work out and want to enjoy their music with the most effective equipment this falls shy. Also, why should I have to rap the cord around my ear on the side it falls out on? I do it anyways but should I really have to? Maybe a company should engineer a better earbud? I don't know, I'm just the consumer.

Latest Model is Pathetic
New Buyer Beware!

I purchased the CX-300 B back in August 2007, and was absolutely thrilled with the performance. The right earpiece stopped working properly almost exactly 1 year later. The price on these was just right, so I bought a new set.

What a disappointment.

In A-B comparison, my left ear only model produced much better bass, and much more natural mid-range.

The new model is overly bright in the mid-range, and the bass has virtually disappeared. Looking at the earbuds, the new model is a matte black, and the screen protecting the driver is a much larger "grid pattern".

The old model has a glossy finish, a finer grid pattern, and inserts more fully in the ear.

Now I need to try and find a place to repair my old ones. The new CX-300 is an extreme disappointment.

Get lost!...In your music that is.
Earphones are all the rage right now. That said, a decade ago they were garbage. You only bought them for on the go music and they were dirt cheap. But for audiophiles such as myself, it would be a crime to wear them. Not the case anymore. I used to own a pair of Bose over-ear phones and I personally thought those were the best headphones out there. Now they have a rival, and they're the size of peanuts.

These Sennheiser CX300 sound EXACTLY like the aforementioned Bose. Great frequency respone 18-21,000Kz, combined with 112dB of sensitivity, and superb sound isolation from the elements of this noise polluted world put you into a whole new dimension.

Highs - Vibrant, detailed, crisp, are words to describe here. Nothing seems eliminated in the range. The headphones bring it like a refreshing glass of lemonade on a hot day with those high notes.

Mids - Non-recessed, warm, atmospheric. I have tried other headphone units such as the Bose in-ear headphones, and thought many of them lacked a little in this department. Not in these cans. Voices and subtle mid-range effects are remarkably pronounced, clearly defined, bringing even more enjoyment from the headphones wide sound stage.

Lows - Very strong, punchy in fact, but not very detailed. Hip-Hop/Rap fans such as myself will love it. But others might be looking for more accuracy in this area. For those wondering if these phones have enough bass, fear not, these headphones can share it's bass with your buddy's stock Ipod phones and still have bass to boot.

Overall, these headphones deserve a solid A. For price and quality of sound, there isn't a better alternative. Just make sure you FULLY insert these puppies into your canal to hear it the way it was intended.

Great Headphones for the price
Let me start first by telling you that I am a very anal guy that is very particular with electronics. I also have a 7K home audio system, so i know what quality music sounds like. I bought plenty of headphones in this price range.

This is the best one i bought so far. Normally, when listening at the office, I would just feel as though it's just another song. With these 300xc, I am now listening to the same songs but my head is bomping up and down to the beat of the music, get the picture?

Excellent base and highs. Clarity is great!

Definitly worth it IMO.
