Customers Reviews 2008-08-28 The ER6i Earphones are great I am really pleased with the quality of these headphones. When I put them in Im practically deaf to all other noises around me. They are also extremely comfortable, unlike some other earphones. Although the white has become a little dirty. | 2008-08-26 Great for Medical Transcription I purchased these earphones for use in medical transcription, so my review is based on their ability to perform in that specific context.
I work out of a 550-square-foot apartment, and my husband, though he tries very hard to be quiet, is constantly making noise around me. These earphones are great at blocking out sound. I no longer hear the floors creaking in the hallway, the clanging of pots and pans in the kitchen, or the loud flush of the toilet. Plus, the dictation is much clearer and easier to understand. I am able to turn the volume down to a much lower level.
Another thing that I like about these earphones is that I find them to be relatively comfortable. This is the first pair of "in-the-ear" headphones that I can actually wear. Most are far too uncomfortable for me. The way these are constructed makes them fairly adjustable.
I have found that mine get dirty very quickly, which is why I gave the product four stars instead of five. They are not particularly difficult to clean, but having to do it often is rather inconvenient. Still, a small trade-off in my opinion.
Overall, I would definitely recommend these to medical transcriptionists for on-the-job use. | 2008-08-22 great earbuds I've had a few earbuds and headphones, and these are by far the best. Compared to Bose, these sound much cleaner from the highs to the lows. It does lack in the bass department though, so Bose gets it there. You can compensate for this using an equalizer or buying a different pair of buds. I've been shopping around for a while and I'm glad I chose these. My friends use theirs when they ride their motorcycles, and I'll try this weekend.
Sorry for the grammar, but I'm using my iPhone to type and I can't see the whole thing hahaha.
Buy these, you'll be happy. | 2008-08-22 Bassless The sound quality on these are amazing. The first batch I got had a slight distortion to the sound but the next pair was flawless, however, I was disappointed with the lack of bass. I don't like it when headphones have an overwhelming amount of bass but some is necessary and these didn't seem to deliver that. | 2008-08-15 Performs as expected I don't have anything to complain about really. The noise reduction is at least as good as with Sony battery-operated headphones that completely enclose your ear and these are 1/5th of the size and don't need batteries. The quality of the sound is very good. Used them during a long bus ride (about 3 hrs) and my ears were fine even though when I used to use the big headphones I had to remove them every hour or so because my ears would be pinched between the headphones and the glasses a bit and would get tired.
I didn't notice any high-frequency loss described in some reviews but I mostly listen the audio books anyway.
I'd totally recommend these earphones for noisy places (using them as regular earphones is not a good idea - soundproofing is too good). As an added benefit, your ears will be cleaner :)
P.S. There is one thing actually I'd like to ask the manufacturers to change - can we have them in other colors please? At least an option to have them in black would be nice. Not everyone likes white earphones. |
