Customers Reviews 2008-09-22 Solid Low End Stereo Unit If you are looking for a solid low end stereo unit than this is just fine. It is not full of useless features. The AM/FM section works well and it has plenty of pre-sets (to fill). I would not suggest pushing this amplifer toward the 100W rating because it does not any large heat sinks to provide for cooling. It does have (stereo)inputs for TV/VCR, CD, a tape player/recorder. It also has a full feature remote but I find it awkward to use. The buttons on it get stuck if you are not careful about pressing them. Once they get stuck the unit seems to have a mind of it's own (till un-stuck). As long as your looking for just a minimum stereo reciever then you will not be disapointed. | 2008-08-15 Sherwoodie Read others' complaints, but don't have any of my own.
Working like a charm. OB. | 2008-07-30 Good receiver for a great price! If you're looking for a basic two-channel receiver to listen to the radio, CD's, cassettes, and to hook up your television to, this is it! This unit provides plenty of clarity and power at all volume levels. Cranked it up half-way and it was plenty loud! Remote control is simple and easy to use. One drawback, though. It does not have phono inputs for a turntable. Other than that, it more than meets my needs! | 2008-04-29 Got 2 both bad I bought it to replace a unit that I have had since 1970 and it started to go bad. The first one would pick up no FM and very weak AM. Yes antennas
were connected, Amazon sent another (great service) it worked the same way.
Returned it gave up on them. | 2008-02-08 A good receiver for the price I needed an amp to power a pair of large speakers from my Apple Airport. This one had more capabilities than I needed, but the description sounded better than the one other amp I found for less. (I was looking for something real inexpensive.) I also hooked up my MythTV and DVD player to it. It sounds great and easily powers the 15" speakers I have. I rarely turn the volume up past 1/3 and it's uncomfortably loud at 1/2 volume if your in the same room with the speakers. It's size is average for a receiver, but would be nice if it were a little more compact. |
