Potential Cure For Cancer Discovered
The unusual cells that may spread cancer are hard to isolate from millions of other cells. The new device, a potential cure for cancer, has been developed by scientists at Princeton and Boston Universities to direct and focus cell streams in a liquid and separate them out according to the size.
The device is in fact a silicon wafer with rows of small pillars through which a flow is made from a liquid that contains particles of various sizes. Thanks to friction, the liquid moves more slowly close to the pillars. This way, small particles are unaffected, but those acceding a critical size are sorted out.
The usual cancer treatment may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, hormone and biological therapy. The doctor can use a combination of methods, which depends on the location and type of the cancer, the patient’s age and health status, whether the disease has spread and other factors. But treatment for cancer may also damage healthy tissues and cells, and in that case it often results in side effects.
The device hasn’t been used anywhere socially, but this discovery may get the phenomenal turn and save many lives.

The perfect digital camera for your travel is the complement you need. It must be comfortable and durable with high-quality photo-taking, and we’ll get through the simple research to find out what kind of camera you need.
Most travelers prefer simplicity: light, small and easy to operate. The finest example is Canon PowerShot A470. Its minute profile (4.1 inches wide / 2.2 inches high / 1.6 inches deep) is ideal to slip into a backpack or pocket.
“Night”, “Beach”, and “Kids & Pets” shooting modes instantly adjust settings to suit the environment you’re in. The Canon A470 is really inexpensive ($120), so it won’t be a great pity to accidentally lose it.
Also the A470 uses AA batteries, which is very convenient. You don’t have to grab battery charger or purchase a spare battery. AA batteries are everywhere to buy cheap.
Panasonic TZ line boasts extended-zoom super-small cameras with high-performance photography. The Panasonic Lumix TZ5 combines low cost ($300) and a compact design (4.1 inches wide / 2.3 inches high / 1.5 inches deep) with 10x optical zoom.
The TZ5 incorporates image stabilization, which is a must for this-sized camera with such a long zoom. Canon has its own compact zoom cam as well - the PowerShot SX100 for $220, which also incorporates 10x optical zoom and matches the TZ5 in dimensions.
But if have an idea of diving or trekking through mountains, you will need a rugged and adventure-ready camera, like the Olympus 1030SW for $375. You can drop it from 6 feet or put it 33 feet underwater with no worries. And it’s just 3.7 inches wide / 2.4 inches high / 0.8 inches deep.
The 1030SW is able to take highly detailed photos with 10-megapixel sensor, as well as it has the integrated face-detection autofocus, and in-camera panorama mode.
Some people get the camera as the entire purpose of the travel. If you are about to capture the perfect picture, you’ll need SLR (digital single-lens reflex) cams like Canon Digital Rebel XSi for $800 or Nikon D60 for $630.
Both cameras are the real success in the range of high-level photography. They require serious commitment. You may inhance the experience and buy an additional carrying case or some lenses. But you will not regret the quality any way!
Now I hope you won’t chose something that doesn’t suit your needs. Take time to understand your desires and let your trip be the unforgettable one.

Teddy Bear Navigates Your Car, Detects You Drunk
Engineers at iXs Research Corporation introduced an amazing robotic teddy bear that was designed to be a talking car navigation system. The model of a robot is pretty tall - 30 centimeters (1 ft), and possesses six joints in its arms and neck for making gestures while producing spoken directions.
The robot bear has the functions to improve auto safety, like an alcohol detection sensor implanted in its neck. If it smells that you are drunk , the robot warns the driver and this way may prevent the unwanted accidents. Other sensors catch wreckless driving. The robot says “Watch out!” if the driver accelerates or slams on the brakes.
When you stroke its head, the robot bear also gives information about the nearest landmarks.
The company believes that the robot will be commercially available next year. The intentions are to make it more compact and to offer a wide range of shapes, including a plain mechanical version and other characters.
Although Fujitsu has the unique patent on the idea of getting car navigation systems with dolls, it has permitted iXs Research Corporation to use this patent through a Kawasaki-area project and this way show to major corporations the good example how to share intellectual property rights with minor companies.
