HypoSurface 3-D Living Wall

One day Oscar Wilde said “Man can believe the impossible, but can never believe the improbable”. Impossible is possible! Designers and scientists from all over the world do their best attempts to get around nature and physics laws. Offering bold ideas and their realization, HypoSurface proves scientifically the end of boring walls and the beginning of 3-D surfaces! Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Hyposurface is an ingenouous wall that uses interlocking flexible panels activated by compressed air – the compressed air behind the surface pushes the panels out in 3-D waves, patterns, images in the wall. It’s the first display system in the world where the screen surface can move and react to exogenous irritants.

According to Hyposurface, it is an unforgettable experience. It generates emotional connections as it responds to sound, movements and body. At first sight, these surfaces seem like a joke. Surfaces start scoffing at folks who touch or approach them making living waves. They feel and perceive like people changing into a walking skeleton for awhile.

And it must be said a little about simulation for BMW trade show which was done with the participation HypoSpace. The test shows an immersive space where the road unfolds in front of the car, the air creating a slipstream. This way HypoSurfaces take world from deep-rooted methods and approaches to virtual worlds of inscrutability.

There are some more videos.

P.S. If you can’t paint a vivid picture and brighten up the world, HypoSurface walls will do it instead of you!
